Founder & Lead TherapistDr. Amara Ellis founded Solace Collective in 2012 after years of working in community mental health and recognizing a gap: women needed therapy that was not just clinically sound, but deeply human.
She built a practice where no two sessions feel the same — because no two people are. Today, Solace Collective is home to a team of six specialized therapists who share Amara's core vision.

Half-day and full-day intensive sessions for those ready for accelerated, immersive healing work.
We believe therapy should be accessible. We offer sliding scale options and superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
Weekly or biweekly sessions with your assigned therapist. Sliding scale available upon request.

Common Questions
It's a 20-minute phone call — casual, warm, and completely pressure-free. You share a little about what's bringing you in, we answer your questions, and we get a sense of whether we're the right fit. No clinical assessments. No commitments.
After your intake form, we personally review your needs and make a thoughtful match recommendation. You're always welcome to meet with more than one therapist before deciding. What matters most is that you feel safe and understood.
We're in-network with Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and Optum. For all other insurance, we provide monthly superbills so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement. We also offer sliding scale fees — please ask.
This varies enormously based on your goals and history. Some clients find significant relief in 3–6 months; others work with us for years. We set goals together and check in regularly to make sure the work is meeting your needs.
Research consistently shows telehealth is equally effective for most concerns. Our secure video platform is easy to use and HIPAA-compliant. Many of our clients prefer it for the convenience — and for the comfort of being in their own space.
